On the news last week there was an announcement regarding a brand new test that can detect breast cancer @ 8 years before a mammogram. It costs $75! It is being used by doctor's offices now- but still new to many. It resembles a nursing machine & works on the same principal. The machine has two cups that are placed over the breasts & it massages the breasts for a few minutes until some fluids are drawn out of the ducts (where most common breast cancers are found)& it flows to a tube & later checked for possible cancer cells. It may be the one test that will change the statistics of 1 in 8 women being diagnosed w/ B.C. every year! Ask your doctors about it & tell your girlfriends! I believe the test is called, Breast Pap.
